IHM-49-BLK - 21oz Melton Wool M65 Field Jacket - Black
The original M65 jacket was first issued to US servicemen in 1965 as a cold-weather field coat. This reimagining, however, takes the 'cold-weather' aspect up a notch. While maintaining the classic cut, complete with four large patch pockets and a hooded collar, we have replaced the traditional military sateen fabric with heavyweight 21oz Melton wool. Compared to previous Iron Heart Melton woolen garments, this double-woven fabric has a higher-density knit and comprises 90% wool with 10% nylon blended in to enhance durability. The result is an extremely warm, windproof fabric, which, when combined with the weatherproof Japanese Ventile lining, creates a heavyweight M65 suitable for even the coldest winters.
